I would say the postcards, price is an issue here. I own a Private Investigations firm and have sent out hundreds of each, I have only had a return on the postcards thus far.
It depends on your industry, your stakeholder, what stage in the sales process and the relevancy of your message. Not to mention your list. If you take all of the above in consideration, there are few differences between various self mailers, from strictly a product perspective. Many will have opinions about the various “packaging” mechanisms, but research shows that there are other factors which are much more important. Different is always better. Consider your message, your audience and the typical types of direct mail information which your recipient will receive. Now try to make an impact, be direct, be specific and be interesting. Speak the language of your industry (but don’t be boring)
